You can add and manage dependents directly in your Health Wallet. Once a dependent is added, you can associate them with your eligible benefits and issue them a card to access funds.
Note: Dependents don't have their own Health Wallet login and cannot manage their own information; you manage everything for them from your account.
Note: Some information, like your dependent’s name or date of birth, cannot be edited by you. Contact your plan administrator for help if you need to update this information.
View your dependents
To see all dependents currently associated with your account, go to your Profile and select the Dependents tab. You'll see each dependent's name, date of birth, and the benefits they're associated with.
Language note: A dependent is a qualifying child or relative who relies on you for financial support. For a list of all eligible dependents, look here.
Add a dependent
Dependent information
Select your Profile and choose the Dependents tab.
Select Add Dependent.
Enter the dependent's name, date of birth, relationship, and (optionally) social security number.
Select Continue.
Benefit selection
The benefits you see might be different. This screenshot is only used as an example.
Select the benefits you want to associate with the dependent.
Select Continue.
Dependent review
Choose whether your dependent needs a card.
Select Review.
Double check if everything looks correct
Select Complete.
Note: Your dependent will only be able to access benefits you're currently enrolled in. If you don't see a benefit listed, check that you're actively enrolled in it.
You can only issue a card for a dependent who has already been added under your Dependents tab. You can't add a new dependent from the Cards page. If you have family cards set up before, your existing dependent information will carry over to your new Dependents tab automatically.
Submitting claims for dependents
To submit a claim for your dependents, answer "Yes" to "Is this expense for a dependent" following the "Add an expense" process. After answering yes, you can choose your associated dependents from the dropdown.
